Feeling the chill this Winter? Then why not pop down to Lichfield branch and warm yourself up by one of our stoves! We have two makes on display – Piazetta and Rais.
Piazetta are an Italian company who produce domestic biomas stoves, specialising in ceramic Majolica clad pellet stoves. As well as being stylish and decorative, these pellet stoves have a fan blown system available too called Multifuoco which means you can also use the pellet stove to heat your home via a ducted hot air system.
Piazetta also produce wet system thermo models which can run a traditional hot water and heating system instead of having a combi boiler. One of the benefits of pellet burning stoves is that you can just tip in a bag of wood pellets and the stove self regulates the amount of fuel to the combustion chamber – convenient and controlled by a simple remote.
Rais are from Denmark and produce a range of both classically styled and more modern wood burners. Many of their models come complete with glass doors and large visibility panels so that you can enjoy the magic of real fire. There are many options available with these stoves, including external air source inlets to avoid having an airbrick in the room. Many of Rais’ stoves feature a clever air system which cycles the gasses produced by the primary burn back through the firebox. This tertiary burn not only increases energy extraction efficiency from your fuel source, but also means that the stoves conform to DEFRA approved standards.
Rais also produce a designer range which allows an almost endless amount of customisation such as different colour options or adding leather handles. It’s also possible to add a heat storage stone on some of the models so that they behave like storage heaters.
Both of these manufacturers produce stoves of exceptional build quality, especially when it comes to the weight of the steel in the fireboxes. There are many Chinese reproduction stoves on the market, but they will be nowhere near the high engineering standards of these models.
